This pictures was inspired three way -- firstly, I drew it because of potterart's new contest prompting. I got the idea from an essay I read a while ago on mugglenet... and my fic, 'That's What Brothers Do', where Ron relates the whole war to a chess game. He's the knight fighting and whatnot, and Harry's the king... Hermione's the queen.

Not too proud >.< but I wanted to enter a contest!!! The armor was a pain to draw, I'm telling you...

I really like this, especially the ettention payed to the details like the iron vest and the pattern of the dress. it finishes a picture. Nice work.

It's neat, especially the chessboard background and Hermione's outfit, but could you maybe scale down the full-view version? It's a bit too big to view on the screen well, and the preview version is of course too small... :) Thanks, Kiwi.
